For your team of carers (also at no cost), we also provide:
- Oral Health Care Training
- Full support from our dental team
- Certification showing your commitment to residents’ oral health
There is no obligation for residents to use our service for regular dental services moving forwards, but we will remain on-hand to offer our mobile dental service, should it be required.
We currently operate in nearly 800 care homes across the South of England and were recently visited by CQC, who were impressed with our service and commitment to delivering domiciliary dental care.

FAQs
Is there any obligation?
There is no obligation for residents to use our service for regular dental services moving forwards, but we will remain on-hand to offer our mobile dental service, should it be required.
How much does it cost?
For care home residents we carry out the Oral Health Care Assessment free of charge and also compile the individual’s Oral Health Care Plan following the assessment at no cost. Ongoing treatment recommendations are individually priced and come with no obligation.
What is involved in an Oral Health Assessment?
An Oral Health Care Assessment (OHCA) is an evaluation of oral health carried out by a qualified dental professional. It’s a visual examination of teeth, gums, tongue and soft tissues, including a review of medical and dental history. Specific treatments required such as professional cleans or fillings will be identified, and areas of concern such as dental infection or oral thrush will be picked up on. A full cancer screening of the oral tissues will also be carried out.
Why are Oral Health Care Assessments important?
OHCAs help individuals, their relatives and carers (if applicable) to understand the person’s oral needs going forward. Good oral health improves general well-being and helps prevent problems such as toothache, decay (cavities), and tooth loss, as well as identifying more serious concerns as soon as possible. A healthy mouth makes it easier for the person to eat well and enjoy food.
What happens after the Oral Health Assessment?
Following the Oral Health Care Assessments, we will send the patient (or relative) and your care home an Oral Health Care Plan for the individual. This will detail the findings of the assessment, oral health advice moving forwards and any recommended treatments. Costs of recommended treatments will be provided, with no obligation. Should you choose to undertake further treatment, we will come back to carry this out, ideally within two weeks.
